Abstract
As the transglucosidation products formed from D-xylose and phenyl-α-glucoside by brewer's yeast α-glucosidase, two kinds of α-glucosylxylose were chromatographically isolated. These disaccharides were identified as 3-O-α-D-glucopyranosyl-D-xylose and 4-O-α-D-glucopyranosyl-D-xylose, respectively. The principal product in this enzyme reaction was 3-O-α-D-glucopyranosyl-D-xylose.
