Isolation and Characterization of Spawning Inhibitors in Ovary of the Starfish, Asterias amurensis

Abstract

Biologically active substances which inhibit spawning of mature starfish, Asterias amurensis, have been isolated from ovaries of the same organisms and identified as asterosaponins A and B.
