The Structural Revision of Piericidin A by Combination of CMR Spectroscopic and Biosynthetic Studies

Abstract

The structure of piericidin A (Ia) was reexamined by means of the CMR spectroscopy and the ¹³C feeding studies and the structure la was revised to IIa. This structure was further confirmed by the selective reduction of PA and by the mass spectral analysis.
