Structure and Chemical Synthesis of Amastatin

Abstract

The structure of amastatin was elucidated to be [(2S, 3R)-3-amino-2-hydroxy-5-methyl-hexanoyl]-L-valyl-L-valyl-L-aspartic acid, and was confirmed by chemical synthesis.
