The Crystal and Molecular Structure of SF-1836, a New Amino Acid

Abstract

The crystal structure of SF-1836, C₅H₇NO₂, has been determined by direct methods. The crystals are orthorhombic with the space group P2₁2₁2₁ and the unit-cell dimensions are a=11.149 Å, b=9.059 Å, c=5.265 Å, z=4. SF-1836 was determined to be trans-2-azabicyclo[2.1.0]pentane-3-(S)-carboxylic acid.
