The photoautotrophic culture medium for Cytisus scoparius Link cells was improved. Linsmaier and Skoog mediumwas modified by adding a 4-fold concentration of phosphate and lowering the auxin concentration (α-naphthaleneacetic acid 10-6 M). Concentrations of all the inorganic elements except phosphate in the original basal mediumwere adequate for the photoautotrophic growth of Cytisus cells. Ahigh concentration of cytokinin compensated for the inhibition of growth caused by a high concentration of auxin.
