Abstract

Novel mycoloyl derivatives of monosaccharides related to trehalose-6, 6-dimycolate (TDM) were synthesized by coupling the natural mycolic acid that have been isolated from Mycobactreium tuberculosis Aoyama B with L-glucose, 2-deoxy-D-glucose, D-glucosamine, and 1, 5-anhydro-Dglucosaminitol.
