1. The method reported by Dawson was investigated, and it was learned that it was able to determine the specific activities of phosphatidyl-choline, phosphatidylethanolamine, diphosphoinositide and phosphatidylserine in small P32 labelled samples.
2. The method has been used to measure the incorporation of P32 into individual phospholipids in the intact rat liver after intraperitoneal injection of labelled phosphate.
3. After 30 minutes of the P32 in it was observed that the highest specific activity was in diphosphoinositide fraction, the specific activities of phosphatidylethanolamine and phosphatidylserine were about 3/4 of that of diphosphoinositide and the specific activity of phosphatidyl-choline was significantly low as 1/6, but there was little difference among the specific activities of individual phospholipids 12 hours after the injection.
