Many factors alter the dynamic polarity of F-actin. We discussed two types of alteration as below. i) ATPase accompanying actin polymerization alters the dynamic polarity from diffusion type to treadmilling type. This alteration concerns the change of B-end conformation to reduce the subunit dissociation. ii) The lateral binding of regulatory proteins (tropomyosin and troponin) to F-actin alters its dynamic polarity from treadmilling type to diffusion type. This alteration concerned with the change of P-end conformation.
