We report the wintering record of a Rose-coloured Starling Sturnus roseus observed in Kochi city, Kochi Prefecture, Japan, from October 2008 to May 2009. This is the first record of this species from Shikoku Island. There are 14 records of this species in Japan, including this report, and most occur after the year 2000.
