Abstract

As shown in figure 1, it was clarified that the gripping-bar reaction time was closely related to the ordinary simple reaction time, and it can be effectively used, instead of those conventional complicated and more expensive apparatus, as one of the test item in the physical fitness evaluation. To clarify the difference of the value between the fall - gripping-bar reaction time and the light - gripping-bar reaction time, fourty-four healthy students (17 years old) were employed as the subject, and the gripping-bar reaction time was measured five trials for each grip. The gripping-bar reaction time, the average value of fourty-four subjects, appeared to be different between light - gripping-bar and fall - gripping-bar, and statistically significant difference between those two grips were obtained. Figure 3, table 2 shows the result.
