A solving method for large deflection problems using a hybrid computer which combines a digital computer and an analog computer is described in this paper. As it is hard to understand the state of beam deflection when the results of computation are only the figures, those states are displayed in X-Y oscilloscope by way of the sensible output. The results of computation using the hybrid computer are investigated and compared with the results of the calculus of finite differences method.

Several optical spectrometers made by application of Laser have already reported and have a tendency to be put to practical use. But there are many questions left unsettled. We here illuminate the questions by experiment toward the completion of the device and at the same time introduce the device.

Analysis for fault current of 3 phase bridge inverter circuit has been made by digital computer. In the last report, using new simulation method, we calculated currents and voltages of rectifier circuit on several conditions. In this paper, changing the control angle of rectifier, inverter action and trangent phenomena of fault conditions have been analysed.

Kanto Loam is softened by remolding with machines of construction work, therefore its trafficability is decreased considerably. We examine by means of experiment the relation between remolding and recovery of strength gained with the addition of lime. This paper shows that if the addition rate of lime is more than 20% and samples is cured for a long term, the more remolding is done, the more recovery of strength is gained.

This paper is a report on the results of studies about post-tensioned unbonded prestressed concrete beams. Test results of 12 rectangular beams were gained, involving (1) theree post-tensioned bonded prestressed concrete beams without bonded unprestressed reinforcement, (2) theree post-tensioned unbonded prestressed concrete beams without bonded unprestressed reinforcement, (3) three post-tensioned bonded prestressed concrete beams with bonded unprestressed reiforcement, (4) three post-tensioned unbonded concrete beams with bonded unprestressed reinforcement. The primary variables were the presence or absence of bond: the effective prestress force of tendon: the amount of bonded unprestressed reinforcement. On the basis of test results, we considered flexural behavior and a method of calculation of flexural strength of unbonded prestressed concrete rectangular beams.

Hydraulic jump phenomenon has been remarked as one of the singular phenomena of Fluid Mechanics. And it has been reserched about the length of hydraulic jump and the relation of various quantity in a hydraulic jump, etc. In this treatise, we tried to analized a hydraulic jump on a momentum equation using the equipment which generated hydraulic jump, about the steady jump and strong jump in our hydraulic laboratory. Practically, hydraulic jump length and its inside condition, which decide the apron length, and become a basic data about preventive scouring, in a sluice-gate or a dam. And then, it becomes neccesary to know the variation of energy in order that we know hydraulic jump length and its inside condition. In this point of view, we considered about the properties of hydraulic jump phenomenon.

We reported earlier that the Trickling Filter process is useful for COD removal, Copper removal and others. But the last report was based on the experiments made for a short period. Therefore, no satisfactory explanation was presented, because we have no sufficient data to draw any fundamental conclusion as to the biological treatment efficiency for a long period. Therefore, we carried out this work to obtain much fundamental information on the effect of the removal by the experiments for a long period. And besides, we found that the removal effect by the slime has a physical and chemical function, and we have also examined the function - coagulation efficiencies to various concentration of copper.

As shown in figure 1, it was clarified that the gripping-bar reaction time was closely related to the ordinary simple reaction time, and it can be effectively used, instead of those conventional complicated and more expensive apparatus, as one of the test item in the physical fitness evaluation. To clarify the difference of the value between the fall - gripping-bar reaction time and the light - gripping-bar reaction time, fourty-four healthy students (17 years old) were employed as the subject, and the gripping-bar reaction time was measured five trials for each grip. The gripping-bar reaction time, the average value of fourty-four subjects, appeared to be different between light - gripping-bar and fall - gripping-bar, and statistically significant difference between those two grips were obtained. Figure 3, table 2 shows the result.
