Abstract
Of the teaching of the English vocabulary, the standard method has not been established. This paper treats of the Structuring of the Senses of a Word, i.e., giving structure to the senses of a word, which seems to be a part of the standard method. A sense of a word is developed or applied into a specialized, generalized, or transferred one through similarity or contiguity between the two. On these premises, some words are given a semantic structure below and the significance of presenting the structured senses to students is discussed.
