This paper describes experimental studies of the relation between the grinding force and the peripheral shape of a workpiece in plunge griding. As a result of using the method of frequency analyses for the griding force and the peripheral shape, it is cleared that every frequency components of the peripheral shape nearly correspond to the ones of the grinding force under N=100[upr].
