Development of Creating and Manufacturing Contents for Elementary School Students to Convey the Attractiveness of Mechanical Engineering

Abstract

We have developed the creating and manufacturing contents for elementary school students to convey the attractiveness of mechanical engineering. In last year, we have developed the content related to fluid dynamics. The participants made a special model glider which was like "winged seed". In this year, we have developed the content using shape memory alloy. We demonstrated the unique properties of the shape memory alloy and then the participants made the strap of the shape memory alloy in the content.
