Abstract

This paper discusses how to preserve and utilize ignored local cultural assets such as stone-made Buddhist statues on roadside. Among the statues, Koshinto is presented as a representative example. In order to preserve such local cultural assets, I propose to utilize the assets for local history education in elementary and secondary schools. In addition, preparing the teaching material for the education through curriculums in college of technology is also proposed for regional contribution.
