A Study on Introducing of External English Tests for the Transfer Examination of NIT, Kisarazu College

Abstract

In many technical colleges, transfer examinations are conducted based on the “Diploma Policy,” “Curriculum Policy,” and “Admission Policy.” But it is very difficult to create listening and speaking tests in English in many respects. Therefore, at National Institute of Technology, Kisarazu College, it is attempted to use some English tests conducted by external organizations for transfer examinations. As a conclusion, we decided to use the EIKEN Test in Practical English Proficiency, GTEC, and TOEIC L&R Test. This paper discusses the introduction of these tests in detail.
