Nematode galls were found from hepatic species, Lejeunea tuberculosa Steph. collected at Doi Inthanon, Chiang Mai Co., northern Thailand. The species grew among a small patch of Dicranoloma braunii (Mull. Hall. ex Dozy & Molk.) Paris on a shrub trunk in a well preserved upper montane forest developing at 1700m alt. The galls were formed with a number of tightly gathered abnormal leaves at the top of each shoot. Two nematode species are found within a single gall; one is filamentous without distinct ornamentation and large in number, while the other is much thicker with curved tails, vent, and ring-like ornamentation at the terminal position. The latter were found only in a small number. Eggs were also found in the galls and, judging from their size, they are eggs of the filamentous nematodes. The filamentous one seems to be the same species reported by Kitagawa (1974) and Asthana & Srivastava (1993). Since the thicker ones have curved tails, they might not be a gall-forming species but a usual dweller on bryophyte patches (Glime 2007).
