We have tried to inquire into the dielectric properties of wood, as the fundamental researches for the technology of drying wood and wooden materials by high frequency field. Some correction on the original date were necessary to remove the influence of the conduction current, which were rather large at large moisture-content and low frequency. It seems that the hypothesis of dipole model can explain the main feature of experimental data, if some appropriate distribution of dipoles by relaxation time is assumed, The distribution varies its shape as the moisture-content increases, and this may be due to the adsorption of water molecule no the micell surface.
