Recently the method of two-body approximation as an approach to many-body problem has been investigated extensively in the field of nuclear physics. The method, in which inter-particle correlation is taken to wave-function, has been applied to nuclear saturation problem by Drell, Huang and Jastrow. In This paper, the ground-state energy of electron-phonon system is investigated in relation to superconductivity by their method modified under consideration of Cluster approximation and variation method.
