The previous result for the correlation energy of an electron-ion plasma has been confirmed by Wentzel's method. In place of the Block interaction applied on Wentzel's theory, the attractive Coulombic interaction between electrons and ions has been introduced to obtain the phonon frequency. The normal coordinates are given in an appendix and the applicability of the oscillator model has been discussed.
