Abstract
Quantized vortices, which are defined as defects in the phase of superfluid order parameters, involve the low-energy quasiparticle excitations. In particular, the order parameter in p-wave fermionic superfluids exhibits a non-trivial topological structure due to their internal degree of freedom. The noticeable result is the appearance of the zero energy quasiparticles, which behave as Majorana fermions. Here, we demonstrate the stability of the zero energy Majorana states near a p-wave Feshbach resonance in ultracold atomic gases.
