Information Thermodynamics in Small Nonequilibrium Systems(Current Topics)

Abstract

We have derived the generalized second law of thermodynamics and nonequilibrium relations which can be applied to information processing by "Maxwell's demon." These results have recently been verified experimentally. Our results constitute fundamental principles of "information thermodynamics."
