Search for the α-Condensed States in Atomic Nuclei

Abstract

It is theoretically suggested that α particles might condense into the same lowest 0s orbit in atomic nuclei due to their bosonic nature. This is the Bose-Einstein condensation in nucleon many-body systems. We report the recent experimental results from our exploration of the α-condensed states in ²⁰Ne and ²⁴Mg.
