Abstract
We set up the hypothesis paying attention to the stress which the virtual human relations in an information environment bring about. It is ″If virtual human relations become active, virtual interpersonal stress will increase. And that worsens loneliness, actual human relations, and Quality of Life (QOL). However, these bad influences can be inhibited by reading of good books.″ We investi-gated in university students and analyzed the results using the structural equation model. The re-sults appeared to verify our hypothesis. Therefore, the bad influence of virtual personal stress was suggested as the negative side of communication through the Internet, and the importance of promo-tion of reading of good books was shown as the preventive measures.
