Abstract
The chance to go to forest in limited in the forest environmental education in elementary and junior high schools. To resolve this restriction, it is thought that the image teaching material is effective. Then, the effect of spatial and temporal spread of image teaching material was examined by the class after the fieldwork in the forest. The class with an image teaching material was done to the student of the first school year in junior high school, and the text which the student had described before and after the class was analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. As a result, it was likely that the effect of the spatial expansion is of benefit, and it was suggested that the effect of the temporal spread was of benefit in the point of improvement of the achievement stage of the environmental education target.
