Abstract

In order to clarify the relationship between the thermal environment in outdoor space and human space utilization, the survey of thermal environment, physiology/psychological response, and staying situation were carried out. From the results of the survey, it was confirmed that the thermal environment was improved by measures, and the countermeasure place was cool and comfortable by psychological vote. The space utilization was evaluated by the number of users standardized by time and place. Since there is a relationship between the standardized number of users and SET*, it is possible to suggest that the increase in the number of users by mitigating thermal environment can be estimated. In addition, we propose a method to predict increase of users at planning stage using numerical analysis.
