To estimate the human health risks from indoor exposure to plastic additives, we need to identify the chemicals present in a variety of products for indoor use. Because the types of chemicals present depend on the kind of plastic, estimating the indoor stocks of different kinds of plastic is useful for estimating the risks in indoor environments. Therefore, here, we constructed a framework of indoor flow and stock analysis based on Japanese statistical data on plastics used for various products for indoor use, and we estimated the indoor stocks of plastic classified by type and use.
