Abstract

Regarding collaborative managementthis study aimed to clarify the local guides' initiative and awareness for participation in resource management by literature study, hearing, and questionnaire of forest tourism in Yambaru, and view the promotive measure . The relation between endemic natural environment and regional original history and cultures are consciously emphasizedand management measures including monitoringclassification of activity fieldsutilization rules are well recognized. Especially monitoring practice lead local guides to have more chance to mixed up with professional researchers and related local government or organizationsand have interest for visitor's needs. It will help them to be trained for handling sustainable use and take more important role as independent actor.
