Abstract

In this report, I took notice of food services at the zoo, i.e., parks and green spaces that play a part in promoting use as a place for recreation or environmental education, identified their actual conditions and challenges, and attempted to propose a future role to be performed. As a result, it was revealed that increased consumption of local food ingredients in part contributed to boosting visitors and that more than half of the zoo recognized that improving menus could promote their use while they don’t have enough manpower to offer better services. It was also found that though the number of users of restaurants is small, improving menus would influence people’s motive to visit the zoo significantly. Based on these, I proposed how future food services should be at the zoo.
