Comparative Analysis of Residents’ Consciousness Regarding to Living Environment and Social Capital with Progress of Urban Development Project

Abstract

We analyzed transition of influence on satisfaction with living environment and social capital of occupants upon satisfaction with whole of Seinan area between urban development project were progressing. As a result, we found whole of Seinan area was influenced by social capital, the influence is weaker than satisfaction of living environment. But the influence by social capital were showed significance in the second survey. Additionally, satisfaction with the living environment and social capital change over time. These results have suggested to necessity consider transition in social capital as time goes by when formulating urban planning measures.
