Abstract

In this study, we clarified the relationship between visiting places and experiences in the region and willingness to pay using CVM analysis, based on a questionnaire survey of visiting places, activities and willingness to pay for environmental conservation conducted in the Aso area of Aso-Kuju National Park. As a result, it was suggested that visitors aiming to purchase food and drink had low awareness of conservation of natural resources, and that food and drink purchase in tourism behavior and natural resources were not linked. In addition, visitors visiting both mountains and towns tended to have high WTP. On the other hand, visitors whose visiting area was completed in the town generally had a low awareness of conservation of the natural environment.
