Abstract

This study analyzes focus group interviews conducted 14 months later on an experiential, four-nights five-days environmental education program for university students in the field setting on Tsushima City, which was targeted on a nature conservation. Focus Group Interview was organized as verbatim transcripts, and Steps for Cording and Theorization (SCAT) method was used for the analysis. The following five points were precipitated: "basic skills as an environmental educator," "special experience that appealed to them," "multiple perspectives in making decisions," "awareness that communicators should keep in mind," and "ability to organize and present appropriately.
