Abstract

In this study, the Kamejima River and the Tennozu Canal, which have the water area inside the water gate in central Tokyo, were selected as survey targets for the purpose of grasping the residents' awareness toward waterside utilization through hydraulic control, and the waterside was targeted at the residents in the surrounding area. We conducted a questionnaire survey on environmental awareness and evaluation. As a result, three points were clarified. (1) I evaluate the cleanliness and landscape of the waterside and feel dissatisfied with the water contact. (2) Residents enjoy the comfort of the waterside but do not feel any discomfort. (3) Residents are an important element of the waterfront to the living environment formation.
