Abstract

Factors influencing citizens' current and future behavioral intentions to reduce plastics are discussed based on a questionnaire survey and analysis of the results. The results indicated that many people practice plastic waste reduction behavior on a regular basis. Multiple regression analysis revealed that communication within the household is related to the degree of implementation of plastic waste reduction. In order to promote plastic waste reduction behavior, it was considered important to create opportunities to talk about ways to reduce the use of plastic products in the household. In addition, it is important to raise interest in the "garbage problem" and the "species decline problem".
