Abstract
In this study, tests were carried out on the state of degradation and the reduction in load resistance of RC slabs subjected to salt damage caused by sprinkling anti-freezing agent and 300 freeze-thaw cycles at 30 degrees below freezing. The results of surface analysis using EPMA of RC slabs subjected to the effects of salt damage and freeze-thaw cycling showed that at the salt ion threshold value of 1.2kg/m3 for occurrence of corrosion in reinforcement of the test specimens, the depth of penetration exceeded 55mm. Also, by examining the degradation of the reinforcement by removing the cores it was found that the compression reinforcement was in the early accelerative period, but the tension reinforcement was in the later accelerative period. Next, the maximum punching shear load-carrying capacity was compared using running vibration load tests, and it was shown that the punching shear load-carrying capacity of RC slabs subjected to salt damage and frost damage action was reduced by a maximum of 15%.
