Abstract
Effects of various insecticides on the adults of the yellowish elongate chafer, Heptophylla picea Motschulsky, collected from tea fields in Shizuoka prefecture was tested in a laboratory. Organophosphorus and synthetic pyrethroid insecticides showed high mortalities, neonicotinoids, chlorpyriphos, and emamectin benzoate showed low mortalities. Primifosmetil indicated the highest mortality among tested organophosphorus insecticides. Spreader raised the activity of clothianidin.
