Message From the Editor-in-Chief

Dear Colleagues,

I would like to announce to you officially that the Circulation Journal welcomes its new Editor-in-Chief, Dr. Kenichi Tsujita, Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine, Graduate School of Medical Sciences, Kumamoto University, starting from August 1, 2024. Professor Tsujita has great experience in both basic and clinical cardiology, and I am confident he will become a strong new leader of the Journal. In the meantime, I really appreciate the continuous support of all the readers, contributors, and editorial team members of the Circulation Journal in many aspects. During the past 4 years, we have been endeavoring to enhance the value of the Journal by publishing English-language versions of Japanese guidelines simultaneously with the release of the Japanese version; asking international colleagues to write cutting-edge review articles; reducing the publication fee by 50%; asking chairpersons of the JCS Annual Scientific Meeting to recommend papers to be published in the Journal and recognizing high-impact articles as Circulation Journal Awards to promote submission of high-quality papers; redesigning the homepage and journal style to attract the attention of readers; and promoting publicity using social networks. Due to the tremendous efforts of the editorial team, the impact factor and its ranking have risen to 3.1 and 67^th, respectively among the 220 journals in the field of cardiovascular medicine in 2023. I give my utmost thanks for the editorial team’s dedication to these projects. I hope that you all continue to show your great support for the Circulation Journal.
