Abstract
How does face recognition ability influence learning of behavioral reliability about other people? For answering this, 23 students with high or low face recognition, by the face apraxia scale, participated the experiment. In the investment game (Suzuki, 2018), they were instructed to make money through repeatedly experiencing a person was good or bad, after being presented with face-photo and name. After that, recognition tests were executed with three choices (good /bad /non-appeared) in three types of stimuli, photo+name, photo only, and name only. There were no differences in the performance of the investment game between two face-recognition groups, however there were differences at the recognition task, where the low face recognition group showed lower memory of especially "bad persons" Mouse trajectory analysis during the recognition test suggested that the higher face recognition group were largely influenced by the face photo. Strategies of the low face recognition group will be discussed.
