We examined the factors involved in high communicative competence in a case of moderate non-fluent aphasia.
In this case, we believe that onomatopoeia and semantic paraphsia are useful strategies in everyday communication and can be considered AAC.
We believe that this patient's ability to communicate appropriately through various other means when anomia prevented communicating led to her ability to communicate well.
