A box shaped half precast column element molded by centrifugal force, “Pre-column”, has been developed. While maintaining advantages of the full precast concrete, Precolumn has additional advantages such as the lightness of elements and the flexibility in the choice of the re-bar splice method compared with the full precast concrete. In the warehouse construction reported here, Pre-column, with other methods such as the precast form for the drop slab, the metal deck form and the welded mesh re-bars method are used to meet the shortage of the construction workers. This report explains the outline of this construction and the results of concrete filling tests in Pre-column. The test results show that the rate of placing is an important factor to control the lateral pressure of filling concrete.
