The pipes are widely deployed in the offshore environment nowadays. One of these applications is like a riser, where rigid and flexible pipes are used for either well drilling or hydrocarbon production. Until now, several studies have been focused mainly on the pipelines and risers structures and their interaction with hydrodynamics forces, offshore platforms and seabed. However, in particular for numerical computation studies and reduced scale model experiments, the pipe is usually modeled as a tensioned beam, and other effects due to its internal flow have been neglected. This paper deals with the interaction of the internal flow and pipe structure under an externally excited vibration. In order to verify the internal flow effects on a vibrating pipe, an experimental analysis was carried out with a mono-phase fluid flowing into the pipe and parametric results using flow rate and pipe vibration frequency are featured.
