Sulfur-containing Pyridine Derivatives. XLV. Synthesis of 2-Mercapto-3-amino-6-chloropyridine Derivatives

Abstract

1) 2-Mercapto-3-amino-6-chloropyridine obtained by barium hydroxide hydrolysis of 6-chloro-2'-aminopyrido [2, 3 : 5', 4']thiazole afforded its thioethers (alkyl, Pyridyl) and their derivatives in good yield. 2) A phenomenon analogous to the Smile's rearrangement was recognized in 2-[5'-nitropyridyl-(2')]thio-3-amino-6-chloropyridine.
