Abstract
The purpose of this study is to analyze the change of the land use and the around trips of the central urban district in local city. The forecast of the land use model was calculated from the transition probability matrix of the land use. As the result, it was estimated that the land use ratio of the restaurants and the parking lots increased, and that the land use ratio of the retail stores and the housing decrease. From the around trips survey, it was cleared that the car users and the bus users are extremely few the around trips. The cause is based on depending on the specific commercial facility. Therefore, the appropriate location of the public facilities and the reduction of the transfer resistance in order to promote the around trips
