Abstract
There is no study that quantitatively understands the ownership of lands and buildings and the changes in building use though the decline of the downtown continues in the local city. Therefore, this study aims to clarify the actual situations of ownerships and the relation with the change in building use in the downtown at Nagaoka City.As a result of the analysis, the ownership percentage of those who lives outside city area is 15%, the change of building use has decreased and a remarkable correlation is not seen between changes of building use and ownerships. We showed that understanding and cooperation of the owner who live there were indispensable for the revitalization of the downtown, and the owner's unity was requested.
