Abstract

There are existing stone resources in Nushima Island, Minami-Awaji city. In this study, the relationship between human life and stone resources in Nushima Island. In consequence, it is found various stone resources widely spreading across the village of the Island. The geology in the Island related to both stone resources distribution and landscape. Moreover, Interview for local people gave details concerning typical human use of stone resources. However, it comes up the clear fear that the connection between human life and stone resources is being disappear dramatically. Therefore, it is very important that it should be discovered both value added and meaning of stone resources as tourist attractions.
