Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the methodology for discussing issues of urban places by analyzing interactions between the crowd of visitors and spatial structure. Kobe city is analyzed by using the space syntax theory as a case study. This study found out that data relates to both spatial structure and the pedestrians’ movements including narrow streets are very useful in making strategic plans for the development of urban places.
