Abstract

Introduction of shopping support services including mobile vendor and home delivery contributes to solve the problem of food deserts. On the other hand, it might bring side-effects such as a decrease in trip fre-quency to city center, and an increase or decrease in trip frequency for shopping.Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to develop ordered logit models for the frequency of shopping trips in different situations of shopping support services and to calculate an amount of change in the fre-quency of shopping trips by introducing shopping support services. In addition, this paper explore wheth-er introduction of shopping support services should be discussed from various viewpoints including needs and side-effects of shopping support services, based on the results of calculations.
