Abstract

Nowadays they say that the earthquake called Nankai megathrust earthquakes will cause serious damage for the bay area of Osaka. So with the citizens living there, we should unite for the disaster and make shelters for tidal wave. Due to the change in the construction of industry, however, decreasing number of people are engaged in a labour which is done only in the bay area. So it’s assumed that less people than before might think that they should protect their own town against the disaster; to become Suibo-dan’s member, one organization for prevention of water disaster. In my study, there are 3 steps forward the conclusion. First, I confirmed what people living in the bay area think about the disaster prevention. Second, along with the situation where the environment of their lives are becoming more and more various, I assumed how the consciousness about the disaster prevention and their lives are connected. Finally, I suggested how people in local area should prevent the disaster.
