Recently, the research on the meshless method which is considered as a new numerical analysis technique has been developed in many engineering fields. Within these meshless methods, the free mesh method (FMM) proposed by Yagawa has been applied in many engineering fields by efforts Yagawa's grop.
The purpse of this research is to apply this FMM to the tesion softening analysis of concrete. In this analysis, the crack band model has been used as a crack model. Also, in incremental analysis, the dynamic equilibrium equation has been used in order to analyze the problem in case of unstable phenomena such snapback.
As numerical examples, the direct tensile tests of concrete bars and the bending tests of concrete beams are analyzed and the results became excellent.
